The Hope.MD Foundation ("Hope.MD") was founded as a legally and fiscally autonomous non-profit organization. Hope.MD has a corporate EIN and a formal 501c(3) tax-exempt IRS certification as a non-profit foundation. Any donor contributions, including labor and equipment expenses, are tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law under IRS regulations. The Hope.MD Foundation gives no remuneration of any kind to any staff, board members, volunteers, or participating third parties.

Hope.MD is committed to operating independently from any economic, religious, or political interests. Hope.MD was built to implement humanitarian relief efforts that connect University physicians with children who need help. Put simply, our goal is to create "patients without borders" to enable children throughout the world to receive the care they need.

Our core policies are as follows:

• Humanitarian Relief

Hope.MD will only function in regions where our efforts are in accordance with host nation wishes. Our decision to select or enroll children is strictly independent of any economic, religious, or political interests. Host community leadership can work with independent Hope.MD clinical providers to select cases based on current resource availability. The decision to enroll a child is based solely on clinical parameters.

• Terms of Use

Use of Hope.MD services, products, and website is strictly on an "as is" basis without any warranty, expressed or implied. Users, patients, and family guardians (collectively, "users") indemnify Hope.MD from any liability associated with use of its products. Users indemnify Hope.MD and enrolled clinical providers from any liability associated in rendering charitable medical care. Users indemnify Hope.MD from any liability from adverse clinical outcomes, adverse events during travel to or return from receipt of care, or other complications associated with participating in the program. Website registered users expressly acknowledge they are subject to US jurisdiction and hereby consent to monitoring of all messaging conducted through the website to prevent predatory online behavior or inappropriate exchanges with minors.

Hope.MD gift card services and retailer rewards programs are offered on an "as is" basis. Although we make every effort to fulfill gift card credits in a timely fashion, Hope.MD is not responsible for cards that are lost, lost in transit, delayed, stolen, or otherwise compromised. Hope.MD fulfills gift card orders through UnitedScrip.com wholesale distributor and all sales and shipment are subject to terms and conditions set by UnitedScrip.com. • Privacy

Hope.MD values its users privacy and will not sell or distribute any user information to third parties. Hope.MD stores website registered user information in encrypted databases using industry grade 128-bit secure socket layers (SSL). Hope.MD does not store credit card information in any form. Online messages exchanged between members and minors are subject to U.S. jurisdiction and oversight to prevent online predatory behavior. Hope.MD reserves the right to contact its list of registered users via email for important communications. Such communications will contain an unsubscribe link to enable users to opt out of any future communications. Users who do opt-out have all records removed from the registered user database. Hope.MD reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to remove users who participate in unsolicited email distributions, or spam, of any kind. • Corporate Social Responsibility

Hope.MD believes that comprehensive corporate social responsiblity lies at the foundation of long term shareholder value. It is not an afterthought, it is the most important thought. Our first public fundraising initiatives focused on what happens when a disconnect develops between fiduciary responsibility and social responsiblity in the communities where multi-national corporations decide to do business. Hope.MD holds itself to the same standards and works tirelessly to function in a manner that is consistent with the social mores and ethics of host nations where we operate. Our corporate officers disclose annual fundraising results and expenses in keeping with our commitment to open source budgetary principles. • Fiscal Transparency and Accountability

The Hope.MD Foundation maintains full compliance with IRS, OFAC, FINCEN, and Treasury directives IAW the CFR and other relevant federal statutes. Donor contributions are subject to periodic review and audit to maintain full compliance with legally required supporting documentation. Hope.MD currently maintains a full listing of all contributions on its website and will continue to do so all long as practical. Should the listing become excessively lengthy, a compiled .PDF annual report will be publicly available at the same website location. Hope.MD is committed to open source budgeting principles to maintain full, transparent accountability for the use of all funds. No members of the board of directors receive any compensation of any kind for services rendered. All payments are made to registered organizations such as embassies, customs, and airlines that are registered in states that maintain OFAC compliance.
